The best business profile headshots and LinkedIn portraits are photographs that strike a good balance between approachability and professional presentation. A corporate headshot that's great manages to convey company values while still showing personality and strength of the individual. If the photograph is taken at the place of business, it can remain consistent with company branding and marketing strategy, helping to visually advocate both the employee and the corporate climate. Cynthia August is a professional headshot photographer for business and commercial purposes. Photographing on location, often in the natural available light of a workplace, she creates team portraits with continuity of style with special attention paid to company style sheets and branding briefs, working to make each individual headshot outstanding on its own but also strong and powerful within the larger picture of a company.
From Cynthia August Images Photography's Blog:
Creating a professional photography portrait for a business website is always exciting when we step away from a boring studio portrait and into the environment of the company. Branding and advertising relies heavily on the strong communication of a company’s vision statement and nowhere is the heart of a business more clearly shown than in its people, its products and its services. So shooting on location at a working jobsite or business location is a great way to show a company’s vision – it informs and supports an effective marketing campaign.
When I am creating these website images, marketing photographs and advertising materials, I get to spend a lot of time observing the inner workings of my client’s business. Shooting on location in this manner requires a certain amount of care and respectfulness. I like to photograph as unobtrusively as possible, using available and natural light, and stay as authentic and truthful as I can in order to capture portraits that embody the spirit of the company without seeming too forced. Often, these portrait sessions can end up including on-the-job candid images, because the daily work interaction between employee and customer, consultant and client, or product creation is so compelling and interesting – too good of an opportunity to miss! A working portrait, if you will!
I believe that truthful shooting makes marketing and advertising photos that are outstanding and full of life, persuasive and extremely useful tools for attracting and gaining the confidence of the perfect clients and customers at the best and highest price point. What you see, is what you get – excellence, dedication, accessibility, confidence, and capability. All visible in one perfect photograph.
